EarthDance, the Global Dance & Cultural Festival for Peace has grown to
become the world's largest simultaneous music and dance event. Founded in 1997,
with 22 cities and 18 countries participating, EarthDance events have occurred
in over 360 cities in 50 countries, with locations ranging from the club-lands
of
EarthDance has been described by the music industry as the "Dance
Aid" for the new millennium. “Think Global Act Local” is the aim of the
event bringing together global communities to create a synchronized global
festival and dance event to help fund humanitarian causes and develop an
environment of peace throughout the World.
The highlight of the EarthDance Global event is a synchronized dance floor
link-up, when the specially created song, "The Prayer for Peace" is
played at every event across the world at exactly the same time.

What: Family Event /Benefit: a Global Synchronized Prayer & Celebration for Peace for People of ALL AGES w/ Live Band ATASH of Austin, Dancing, Drum Circle, Water Blessing , Spiritual Cinema & Vegetarian Feast, for World Peace linked to the annual global celebration, this year honoring the Native American Tribes. Fairies, face painting, Cultural Costumes encouraged by diverse communities, sponsor booths, and table reservations available.
Who: All cultures, all people welcome! Produced by Ecstatic Dance Houston, creating peace in ourselves, our communities, and our world – thru community freestyle dance experiences & workshops.

EarthDance Houston 06 invites Performing and Cultural Groups to join together
with our diverse MUSIC, COSTUMES, and ENERGIES, to co-create an Opening
Ceremony "Community Dance" that will highlight
What I am asking of each group is
:
1. to provide Sydney (the Producer) with several pieces of music that represent
your group.
(Sydney & Facilitators of Ecstatic Dance Houston will design the music line
up for the opening ceremony community dance
2. to show up by
3. bring marketing materials, fliers etc to place on a
group table. (
And then simply stick around & join in with over 222
cities, 250,000 + people from all over the globe, in 50 different countries -
to co-create a meaningful and powerful prayer of peace on earth at 6pm, &
celebration of our Unity including; water blessing, live drum circle,
vegetarian feast, Native American speaker, sponsor booths, face painting,
networking, and live music of ATASH from Austin! Ending at
